Further analysis of the 1995 AMS private sector survey: a comparison of the broadcast and nonbroadcast communities
Article Abstract:
The survey conducted by the American Meteorological Society in 1995 was reanalyzed to determine the priorities of meteorologists in the broadcast as well as the nonbroadcast industries. Results of the reanalysis revealed major differences in terms of education, employment and advancement within the private sector when considering the broadcast industry independently of the nonbroadcast industry. However, both segments maintain an optimistic employment outlook for the future.
