The UK morning goods market was worth 1.1 billion pounds sterling in 1998, up 6% from 1997. Bakery snacks have shown the strongest growth, up 38% between 1994 and 1998 to almost 500,000 million pounds sterling. The morning goods market is forecast to rise to a peak of 1.13 billion pounds sterling to 2001, before falling to 1.11 billion pounds sterling in 2003.
