Stunted growth and stepwise die-off in animal cohorts
Article Abstract:
A three-differential equation model, based on the assumption of identical size of the individual components of an animal cohort, helps study the influence of body weight and metabolism of the consumer on foraging. There is a reduction in the number of animals in the cohort due to loss of weight, which leads to starvation. This model is independent of mortality rates and functional responses and the results from this model vary from those of the predator-prey models.

Article Abstract:
Police officers give all sorts of help to citizens besides enforcing the law. During medical emergencies, cops often arrive before the medical professionals. Many people want to write off cops as corrupt, but that sort of thinking dismisses the bravery they show everyday.
