CES to feature IDB standard
Article Abstract:
The mobile electronics connectivity standard Intelligent Transporation Systems Data Bus (IDB) will be launched at the International Consumer Electronics Show in Oct 1999. IDB is an open, non-proprietary standard that allows a virtual plug-and-play connection between and IDB product and and IDB car. The standard creates a communications network with the car's environment between IDB products without the need for a CPU-type device.
