Environmental impacts of nutrient removal processes: case study
Article Abstract:
The disposal of effluent of wastewater treatment plant has posed several environmental issues because of its potential risks. Although wastewater treatment operations are aimed at disinfecting sewages, its byproducts such as nitrogen can become hazardous when it exceeds tolerable level. Thus, wastewater treatment programs should address this problem by improving denitrification method which can be utilized in wastewater treatment plants.
