Hyundai offers 0.18um, 256M-bit DRAMs
Article Abstract:
Hyundai Electronics Industries Company Ltd of South Korea will start mass production of 256M-bit DRAMs, using 0.18 micrometer design rules, in the first half of 1999. DRAMs support PC100 standards and are suitable for desktop and mainframe computers. They will be manufactured at a plant in Ichon. The company expects sales of its 256M-bit DRAM to reach $100 million by the end of 1999.

Matsushita's Malaysian R&D center will fortify product planning, design

Matsushita Home Appliance R and D Centre (M) Sdn Bhd was established by Matsushita Electric Industrial Co to centralize and strengthen the company's product planning, development and design capabilities of washing machines and other home appliances in Southeast Asia. The subsidiary has its headquarters in a 800-square meter site in Selangor Darul Ehsan, Malaysia.
