Silicon nitride film-forming technology
Article Abstract:
The Toyota Technological Institute has developed a silicon nitride forming technology that could prove to be valuable in the manufacture of large- scale integrated circuits with sizes of 0.1micrometer. The technique, which involves the use of elctron beam-excited plasma, was able to produce thin silicon nitride films by using nitrogen atoms. The technology is expected to be used in the manufacture of thin-film transistors for LCDs and in making efficient solar batteries.
