fi-4010CU color image scanner

Article Abstract:

Fujitsu Ltd has introduced its fi-4010CU color image scanner that is compact and lightweight. The scanner features a flat bed and an automatic paper-feed mechanism. With its Universal Serial Bus interface, the product eliminates the need for SCSI board and makes the scanner easy to connect to personal computers. By attaching scanned images to e-mails, users can employ the product as a substitute for a color fax. It can also be used to record images of seals and signatures and for transforming handwritten papers into text data. The scanner sells for $511.

KFK-EXXHY/EXXHB keyboards

Article Abstract:

Mitsumi Electric has introduced the KFK-EXXHY and the KFK-EXXHB series of keyboards with 15 additional hot keys for Internet and multimedia operations. The US models have 119 keys while those for use in Europe and 120 while Japanese keyboards would have 124 keys. All models feature step- sculptured keys with key offsets of 9.5 to 4.75 to 9.5 mm and key travel distances of 4.2 to 2 mm. The keyboards measure 181.68x463.8x41.25mm in size.

Sasport Cubie II POS terminals

Article Abstract:

Seiko Epson Corp's Sasport Cubie II point-of-sale terminal provides processing power by using a 433MHz Celeron processor. The terminal is offered with a 12.1-inch thin-film transistor LCD touch panel that can display Japanese kanji characters. The terminal operates under the Windows NT operating system. Prices range from $7,000-$7,853. Epson Hanbai Corp Ltd is responsible for the sales of the products.
