A not-so-secret recipe for successful TQM
Article Abstract:
The Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award has been the basis of quality awards of many countries. Total quality management (TQM) does not completely guarantee financial and commercial success. The 10 characteristics of Baldrige Award winners include leadership and management commitment, total customer delight, long-range effort toward TQM, teamwork and partnerships, employee involvement and satisfaction, training, measurement of progress, continuous quality improvement, benchmarking and open communication.
