A small business international market selection model

Article Abstract:

Recent changes in different government structures, regulations and laws have increased the market opportunities for enterprises seeking new global markets. A study therefore developed a model to help small businesses evaluate possible foreign countries for market opportunities and decide which foreign markets are most favorable for market entry. This foreign market selection model presents only a general guideline, however, and individual firms must make several choices in using it.

Systematic integration of design-for-recycling into product design

Article Abstract:

Product designers and manufacturers need to integrate environmental issues in the product design processes. Consequently, a method of incorporating recycling considerations into product design processes is presented. It emphasizes the establishment of a recycling network composed of manufacturers, consumers, recyclers and suppliers to effectively develop recycling approaches. A discussion of the key features of the method is presented.
