Applying budgetary management to projects
Article Abstract:
Project managers should plan to complete the work within a set budget as well as on time and to a standard of quality. To do this, budegtary management techniques similar to those used by a company can be employed. This process sets out financial objectives and enables efficiency and deviation from predicted events to be measured. A budget should specify the amount of profit required and the sums to be spent on specific items of expenditure but does not prevent managers using their skills to deploy resources in the most effective manner.
