Colours shine brightly for fire-proof plastic

Article Abstract:

Flame-resistant plastics which are both highly coloured and scratch-proof have been produced using Phenolic, an already popular product because of its mechanical properties. Up until recently, Phenolic plastics have only been available in dull colours, but the Cellobond FRP Colour system by BP Chemicals has introduced a bright colour range which is expected further increase this demand in offshore and transportation industries.

Carbon Trust helps UK firms cut energy costs by pound sterling 70m to pound sterling 135m

Article Abstract:

The Carbon Trust's government department helped public and private UK firms by representing a cost saving scheme for those companies of between pound sterling 70m and pound sterling 135m. The department assists the companies to measure the potential effect of climate change mitigation strategies on their activities and demonstrate the business case for significant carbon emission reduction.

Mixing and matching polyolefins, particularly the different types of polyethylene and polypropylene, produce polymers with very superior properties are discussed. The developments in polyethylene that are enabling solutions to save users significant amounts of money is presented.
