Dryer designs are continually being improved to keep pace with new products, new production technologies and user needs such as easy maintenance, versatility for quick product changeovers, energy-efficiency and space-conserving design. Some dryer innovations are, however, developed to meet more exacting product specifications such as the spray dryers with atomizers developed for manufacturers of non-agglomerated powder products.
