Five years on: Inserco and Honeywell have spent five years contesting a disputed valuation on work carried out at Canary Wharf
Article Abstract:
Inserco of Essex, a fire alarm and detection installer, and Honeywell of the US, a manufacturer, have been in dispute over valuation of work undertaken at Canary Wharf. The problems started when Inserco's contract to begin installing Honeywell's equipment at Canary Wharf in 1990 was delayed and Honeywell became reticent about paying bills for variations which had mounted up. Ineserco was awarded 400,000 pounds sterling with interest at trial, but Honeywell is preparing its submissions for further appeal.
