The design of experiment (DOE) concept, which was pioneered by mathematician R. A. Fisher, is very useful for studying effects of several variables simultaneously. DOE, while providing a strong analysis of a process, does not provide a solution for problems. Ways to develop successful DOE studies are discussed.

Temperature scales

Absolute zero is the lowest attainable temperature and is said to be equal to -273.16 degrees centigrade based on the Kelvin scale. The Rankine scale is another absolute temperature scale where 491.69 degrees Fahrenheit is the ice point.
