Partnering: agreeing to agree
Article Abstract:
The relevance of partnering in construction projects is evaluated. This is a type of relationship in which trust, ownership, respect and cooperation are established at the start of the project. It is also a relationship between the owners, designers and contractors who are all stakeholders in the project. Partnering gives benefits to all parties such as reduced exposure to claims and liabilities for the designer and contractor. The owner is assured of quality construction and the total project cost is reduced.

Dave's top ten signals that you might need a better management approach
Article Abstract:
Project management approaches have been rapidly evolving since the 1960s. Among the major changes in business in the past three decades are the advent of mainframe computers and digital signals, a focus on quality that gave rise to such terms as total quality management and continuous process improvement, and reengineering. Other key changes are the emergence of cross-functional work teams, systems thinking and strategic planning.
