Improving collaborative engineering
Article Abstract:
UOP LLC and Aspen Technology have formed a joint venture that will develop software for collaborative engineering. The joint venture will integrate features of UOP's proprietary Computer-Aided Schedule A (CASA) data management system, with Aspen's AspenZyqad, a system for integrating and managing data. CASA will offer user managed links between design tools and connectivity with customers' data management systems. CASA contains a dictionary, case-management capabilities, process simulators and hydraulics tools.
