Management development for scientists and engineers

Article Abstract:

The incorporation of formal and experience-based learning in management development programs for scientists and engineers is suggested. These programs, which should also start earlier in an individual's career, musthave a significant experimental content and at the same time focus on interpersonal skills and teamwork. The case study technique as well as businesssimulation activities are effective ways of increasing learning in management programs.

Ornaments with a past

Article Abstract:

Some ornaments used for decorating Christmas trees have histories traceable to 15th century Germany. Artificial trees were used due to the deforestation problems in Europe. Glass blowers made glass balls as tree ornaments. Later on, color printing techniques were used for embossed decorations.
