Measuring quality from the consumer's perspective: a methodology and its application
Article Abstract:
A new method has been developed for measuring a product's quality with respect to other brands and evaluating how this factor shapes the consumers' relative preference toward certain products. The method measures these aspects from the consumers' perspective by regressing the preference scores on the price consumers are willing to pay for the product. It has been proven to be very useful for determining the value of quality needed by a product to successfully compete in the marketplace.

Evaluation of corporate environmental management approaches: a framework and application
Article Abstract:
A survey of 141 firms in Hungary was undertaken to find out the scope and nature of corporate environmental management policies. Since firms face both endogenous and external environmental risks, their policies are designed to cope optimally with such a mixture of risks. They have a choice among four approaches: reactive, proactive, strategic and crisis preventive. The use of any one or a mixture of these approaches depends on such factors as profitability and the degree of risk.

America health care reform: an international perspective
Article Abstract:
A comparison of the healthcare systems in the US, UK, Canada and Sweden shows a lack of information on available health care services. It is argued that the effective health care reform lies in addressing the causes rather that the symptoms of rising health care costs.
