Pharmaceutical solutions made more affordable thanks to power monitoring

Article Abstract:

SmithKline Beecham closely tracks down power supply at its research and production facilities with the help of a software program. Power-monitoring is vital not only to ensure low energy consumption but also to maintain power quality to prevent disruption on research work on vaccines and drugs. A power-monitoring device was set up in 30 different buildings to manage current from incoming 34.5-kilovot (kv) lines to 208-volt transformers. A software program supervises information in all buildings digital power meters showed numeric data and waveforms information.
