Remote control; chosing the right bus
Article Abstract:
There are many bus standards and systems available for home and commercial automation applications. The open-system Batibus standard is the market leader. C-Bus, developed by Clipsal is a low voltage connector for commercial use. Carrier Comfort network (CCN) is Carrier's proprietary standard. Consumer Electronics Bus (CEBus) leads the American home automation market. Credanet uses existing domestic wiring while Siemens' EIBus is applicable to domestic and large commercial buildings. The Japanese Home Bus Standard (HBS) has few supporters. Other bus standards are Local Operational Network (LonWorks), Smarthouse and TRON.

Get the balance right: cash is the most important ingredient in any business, so why are so many firms so poor when it comes to its management?
Article Abstract:
Lack of cash is the main reason why some small businesses collapse, whereas large companies have dedicated departments to deal with cash management. Business cash flow can be improved by placing tax into a separate account to earn interest, price for cash flow rather than profit, accept credit cards from business customers and keep a daily check on cash balances. Bartering may also be a way to save cash, and stage payments will cover cash costs and spread the cost to the customer. It is also important to confront customers who pay late and offer deferred discounts.

Choosing the right van
Article Abstract:
The choice of a van for business use requires careful consideration of the maximum loads it will have to carry. The van's expected annual mileage and life-time costs should also be assessed. Micro-vans are cheap to buy but can be expensive in the long-term. They have limited capacity and are cramped when compared to car-derived vans. Diesel engines give good fuel economy especially with direct fuel injection. Those needing a large vehicle may find it cheaper to have one custom built by a specialist firm.
