Technology Used to Recreate Antiques
Article Abstract:
Designers at Arnell-Bickford used a Harris 500 computer to reconstruct the design of a nickel and silver bowl designed in 1906 by Josef Hoffman. Computer-generated drawings helped to create a three-dimensional image from two-dimensional pictures of the bowl. Brass prototypes of the bowl were constructed from the computer analysis.
