The Building Blocks: Artificial Intelligence
Article Abstract:
The intelligent machines and cognitive science branches of artificial intelligence (AI) research attempt to induce theories of intelligent information processing. Knowledge-based systems include language understanding, vision systems, and automatic programming. Knowledge may be represented by formal methods and rules and research in this area are important. Knowledge acquisition is presenting difficulties to research and activity is high in the field.
