The advantages of manufacturing technology planning
Article Abstract:
The implementation of new manufacturing technologies can improve the financial, qualitative and marketing aspects of a company. However, this goal is premised on the simultaneous growth of the company's manufacturing technology portfolio with its overall business strategy. This situation can be assured by manufacturing technology planning (MTP) which not only helps in maximizing investments in new technologies but also in developing a manufacturing technology strategy and create a long range capital budget for its support. An assessment of the four tasks of the MTP is provided.

Bearing the gift of royal performance indicators: a medieval tale of goals, objectives and strategic planning
Article Abstract:
Agricultural productivity can be boosted through a strategy based on a plant, grow, check, act cycle. However, it is important not to focus exclusively on productivity. Attention must be given to targets in areas such as employment and revenue, and it is vital to define goals. Those in ultimate control must have information about tasks, successes and problems. Furthermore, goals must be converted into specific strategies by which progress can be made towards the realization of a vision.
