The lightly lads: the contractor's role in the specification of decorative and commercial lighting is becoming increasingly important
Article Abstract:
Contractors are having an increasing influence over the specification of lighting, with many major projects using a combination of decorative and commercial lighting. There has been a dramatic rise in sales of decorative lighting, particularly in the leisure sector. The growth in security and outdoor lighting has been driven by rising crime rates, as well as better summers and the preference for outdoor eating. New products coming onto the market include tungsten halogen lamps and compact fluorescent lighting (cfl).
