Support group decisions via computer systems
Article Abstract:
Group decision support systems (GDSS) automate the gathering, recording and implementation of ideas generated in group meetings. The system provides anonymity, permitting the free flow of ideas, and parallel communications cuts time by allowing the simultaneous submission of thoughts. Efficient, organized and thoroughly recorded discussions can play an important role in quality improvement. Some organizations use GDSS for self-assessment in the Baldrige quality award application rocess.
