Tomorrow's world
Article Abstract:
Advances in the cordless technology market are escalating as around 97% of business already make use of some form of cordless equipment. Cordless technology allows offices to become more adaptable as desks are no longer fixed to one point. Morgan Lovell have constructed the City Workplace to demonstrate the possibilities of cordless technology in the office. Cordless technology can be used in environments where traditional cabling is not permitted or difficult to install. Cabling feeds are introduced into base stations in the floor creating an overall network for the use of computers.

Just a quick one then...
Article Abstract:
About 8% of the workforce in the UK has a drug-related illness. Employers in the past have ignored this abuse, unless the problem was obvious, but they are now aware of a link between alcohol or drug abuse and poor performance, lost working days and health and safety in the workplace. Employers may ask for voluntary testing, but have no legal right and may not test for drugs unless the employee consents. An employer may express this wish in an employment contract.

The technologies are divided into three categories: (1) advanced (2) intermediate and (3) developing. A chart placing the technologies into their categories is provided. The diagram 'A Hierarchy of Acronyms,' shows how technology fits into a system.
