Use your pilot plant as a process design tool
Article Abstract:
Chemical process industries with plans to set up a pilot plant should set specific objectives and include the basic concepts of the proposed plant design. A well-designed pilot plant should give critical design data in a timely and cost-effective manner. The two types of pilot plants are multipurpose which is capable of handling many products and processes, and process specific which is designed for only one process or a type of process.
