Capturing the residual copper
Article Abstract:
Streel scrap buyers are willing to pay premium for shredded steel scrap with low copper residuals. The traditional methods of processing scrap consisted of using balers, shears and oxygen/gas torches. Use of these equipment changed the shape and size of the scrap which increased their value. In addition to a better shape, shredding also results in the separation of materials from one another. A description of the structure of modern shredding plants and their equipment are presented.

Meeting the plastic challenge
Article Abstract:
The plastics industry recycling infrastructure is beginning to develop in response to the expansion and constant change which the plastics industry is undergoing. From the onset, the plastic industry has relied on granulators to reduce parts and scrap created as factory byproducts and transformed into reusable form. For the processing of large scrap parts such as automotive components, shipping containers or pipe fittings, shredders are used.
