Adding Energy to the Bottom Line
Article Abstract:
Scrap facility enterprises should become aware of how the deregulation in the electric utility industry can benefit their operations. The most important factor in utility deregulation is that consumers will now be able to choose among competing companies on the price of their electricity. In particular, the metals industry and scrap recyclers can take advantage of the benefits of deregulation by determining how their facilities are being charged for their monthly electricity.

Article Abstract:
Recycling Industries Inc, a name that rose quickly in the ranks of US' consolidating scrap companies in 1997 and 1998, has failed to put together a bankruptcy plan acceptable to its creditors. This may signal the closure of the Englewood, CO-based company, whose scrap facilities were located primarily in the Southeastern US.
