Air handling holds key to odor management
Article Abstract:
The article examines the ventilation system used by the Cobb County, Georgia composting facility to direct, contain and treat air that moves throughout the plant. The system employs hood and exhaust ducts positioned over conveyor belts to capture and process odorous air from the plant's digester discharge, and the air is then used to aerate compost piles.
