An economic analysis of household waste management
Article Abstract:
A comprehensive model of household waste management policy that requires waste reduction efforts by firms and households is presented. An excellent result can be attained by imposing environmental tax on firms and waste collection charge on households, if effort for household waste reduction is minimal. However, if household waste reduction effort is apparent, intense monitoring of illegal waste disposal is necessary.
