Applying compost to crops
Article Abstract:
The use of compost products is dependent on the composition and quality of the feedstock and absence of pesticide residues and weed seeds. Compost applications on corn revealed that the yield was augmented by 10% to 135%. Experiments on potatoes and peas indicated increased yields when compost products were used in horticulture.
