Community safety initiatives
Article Abstract:
An overview of West Midlands Fire and Rescue Service's initiatives aimed at ensuring and enhancing community safety is presented. Among its programs are deaf community engagement, road traffic collision preventive scheme, whch won awards for the Service's personnel. The ways by which the Service improves its relationship with the community are discussed.

Huge East London warehous fire
Article Abstract:
A huge fire incident happened at an abandoned warehouse in East London on November 12, 2007. The crews of the London Fire Brigade, who arrived at the scene five minutes after the incident call, tackled thick black smoke that was worsened by polystyrene panels. Result of the fire investigation are provided.
