Coping with resistance to copper/silver disinfection
Article Abstract:
Copper and silver can be effective in disinfecting water supplies, and are immune to the production of harmful by-products inherent in the use of chemicals such as chlorine. But some microorganisms are resistant to copper and silver disinfection systems. Techniques are offered for supplementing the use of such systems for effective water treatment.
