Direct link between electric customers and dairy farms

Blue Spruce Farm powers the green energy program of Central Vermont Public Service (CVPS) with biogas created by the anaerobic digestion of dairy waste directly linking Central Vermont customers with a farm owned generator. Earl Audet, owner of the company, states that it is one more way to diversify the farm and to manage manure responsibly.

The history of agitated bed technologies, discussing the process success, innovations, and its operational survival are presented. The agitated bed in-vessel composting technology incorporates composting in long parallel channels with concrete walls, and a fully automated compost turner traveling on the top of the walls.

British schools take active role in composting technology program

Article Abstract:

The secondary schools and colleges in Wiltshire, England, have participated in the School Composting Technology Project run by the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust. These schools and colleges have reduced waste disposal fees and are running in-vessel composting machines, while producing great compost.
