Engaging faith communities
Article Abstract:
The West Midlands Fire and Rescue Service engages faith groups by launching multi-faith forums, which have also increased the number of referrals and are expected to bring recruit firefighters for the whole community. The initiative follows the introduction of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order of 2005, which has widened the scope of the WMFS' responsibility to include places of religious worhsip.

East Sussex 'cycle safety
Article Abstract:
A new road safety initiative has been introduced by the East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service. The scheme designed to lower the number of motorcyclist accidents that happen on the roads of East Sussex. Details of the scheme, which include the use of the Battle Biker Drop-In Centre and the Sussex Police BikeSafe initiative in educating motorcylists on safety measures , are provided.
