Going out on a regulatory limb
Article Abstract:
The role of regulators in waste management is being questioned by many public and private waste management facilities. The waste management facility companies do recognize that some of regulatory bodies are very supportive of waste management efforts. However, there are regulatory bodies that instead of working closely with the clean-up companies, give the waste management facility companies a hard time getting necessary permits through red tape and expensive procedures.

Public perceptions of biosolids recycling
Article Abstract:
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) promulgated federal regulation, called Part 203 rule, for the management of biosolids as the culmination of a concerted effort aimed at understanding potential impacts of disposal or use of biosolids on public health and environment. The Part 503 regulations set risk-based ceiling standards for certain trace elements and further requirements for pathogen and vector attraction reduction treatments.
