High drama on the recycling edge

A pilot program that started out originally as the by-product and waste search service in 1990 by the Iowa Waste Exchange (IWE) is discussed. The success of the program has led to funding from tonnage fees paid to the state by waste generator.

Using compost on contaminated mineland sites
Article Abstract:
An overview is presented on the Missouri Land Reclamation Program, which manages soil remediation projects for abandoned mine sites. Organic soil amendments used include compost, limestone rock, calcium carbonate, hay and straw.
