Disposal company expands composting operations
Article Abstract:
Texas Disposal Systems operates Texas Organic Products, a composting operation using a 30-acre site built using clay soils. A retention pond has been built to take water from the composting site. The company pays great attention to odor control, and windrows are used for feedstocks likely to have strong odor potential. Topdressing using compost screening is then used to tackle the problem, and has been effective. The company has been successful in combining composting, waste collection, and landfill.
