This family owned and operated company uses a beneficial process to produce and sell products from wood and yard trimmings in the Portland region. The company began producing mulches in the late 1940s when it started grinding and selling fir bark dust as a side business.

Mulch and topsoil fit the bill in Florida
Article Abstract:
Florida Recyclers, located in Melbourne, FL, receives and processes 9,000 t of yard trimmings, 10,000 cubic yards of land clearance materials and 2,000 t of building waste each month. Unusable material is disposed of in landfills while the rest, including wood, is recycled. Wood is transformed into high-quality mulches and topsoil is also processed before being resold.
