Nonconvexities in the production of timber, biodiversity, and carbon sequestration
Article Abstract:
Uniform management appears to be superior for the joint production of timber and carbon sequestration, while specialized management might often be superior for the joint production of timber and biodiversity at low discount rates. Fixed logging costs and administrative constraints on logging regulations can create nonconvexities in forestry production sets that include timber and nontimber products.

Spatial heterogeneity, contract design, and the efficiency of carbon sequestration policies for agriculture
Article Abstract:
Different methods to investigate the efficiency of alternative contracts for carbon sequestration in cropland soils are discussed, taking into account the spatial heterogeneity of agricultural production systems and the costs of implementing more efficient contracts.
