Portland composter sold to bank
Article Abstract:
The composting facility of Riedel Environmental Technologies Inc's (RET) subsidiary, Riedel Oregon Compost Company Inc in Portland, OR, has been sold to its creditor, Bank Suisse. The sale will end RET's involvement in the facility and free it from 80% of the $25 million municipal bonds issued by Metropolitan Service District to finance the compost plant. Credit Suisse will be responsible for the rest of the municipal bonds. The plant is temporarily closed pending the selection of a new operator.
