Property rights in a fishery: regulatory change and firm performance
Article Abstract:
To analyze changes in productivity of firms harvesting a natural capital stock a new method is introduced and applied to the British Columbia halibut fishery. Using micro-level data from a common-pool resource an application of the method is given.

Time inconsistent resource conservation contracts

Resource conservation contracts are analyzed using a model to show the impact of time inconsistency on their efficiencies. Suggestions to overcome time inconsistency are also presented.
