Taking the 'Labor' out of laboratory information management
Article Abstract:
JR Simplot Co of Boise, ID, turned to a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) from Lakewood, CO-based Telecation for an inexpensive solution to its water/wastewater test and treatment needs. Aspen, Telecation's latest LIMS, is similar to a turnkey solution in the sense that it can be used right out of the box, but still is flexible enough to be configured to tailor fit the user's specifications. The 32-bit client/server application was developed using MS Access 8.0 and Visual Basic.
