Targeting commercial recycling goals

Article Abstract:

Many recycling managers find business sector recycling programs more difficult to manage than residential recycling programs because of the former's high diversity of solid wastes. Nevertheless, managers are forced to operate these programs since commercial solid wastes constitute 40% of the total US municipal solid waste stream and because of their jurisdiction's mandatory recycling laws. Managers tackle the business recycling programs with different approaches such as involving promotions and technical assistance and using sophisticated monitoring equipments.
