Compost structure options
Article Abstract:
The structure of the compost plant can help in improving various aspects of the composting operation. The size and the cost involved in the construction of the structure, and the operations taking place inside and outside the composting structure determine the appropriate type of building for a site. Weather and odor control are two of the most important factors that need to be considered in enclosing a composting facility. Details about the composting structures existing at different composting facilities in the US states are presented.

The state of garbage in America
Article Abstract:
States are continuing to implement recycling and waste reduction programs despite federal proposals to withhold support for environmental regulation. No state has passed recycling laws since 1994, but 44 already have recycling regulations in effect. State waste management law may be in the form of recycling goals or waste reduction goals. Some states have also enacted yard trimming laws in which leaves and grass trimmings would not be accepted at landfills.
