Treating liquid manure at the American farm school
Article Abstract:
A process known as Plocher Energy System (PES) that was launched to maintain the aerobic process in a liquid manure tank or polluted water without introducing oxygen but using calcium carbonate powder as catalysts is described. The application of PES in the earth lagoon started in 1997 to keep the lagoon free of any surface growth for undisturbed pumping, and to keep the nutrients in the water and return them to the soil.

Odor control methods at manure lagoons
Article Abstract:
The different methods of using dairy lagoons as a storage facility for manure and also a place for manure treatment, without letting out much bad odor, are discussed. The bad smell which is caused by the imbalance of the microbes in the lagoon is prevented by restoring the proper microbial balance in the lagoon.

Pursuing realistic opportunities in home-grown energy
Article Abstract:
Cellulosic energy crops (CECs) are likely to become a cornerstone of the renewable energy future. They are consistent in quality and can be used to produce large quantities of electricity and liquid and other forms of energy that are generally not available from other renewable sources.
