U.S. cement & concrete admixtures demand to rise

Article Abstract:

A market valued at over $1 billion is expected to be produced by 2002 since cement and concrete admixtures will foster an 8.2% increase in annual demand in the US, indicated The Freedonia Group Inc. The residential construction, construction, street repair, highway, and nonresidential building sectors will pose as significant markets for admixtures. The increasing use of value-added proprietary merchandise, particularly fibers; higher admixture dosage rates; extensive admixture applications; and increased use of concrete-intensive construction are reflective of new developments in the field.
