United Kingdom: residential organics composting kicks off in Derbyshire
Article Abstract:
Some of the initiatives undertaken by the Biffa Waste Services, Ltd., a solid waste company in the U.K., authorized by the Animal By-Products Regulation, are discussed. The company started a composting plant at Etwall in Derbyshire, England in April 2007 designed to compost 30,000 metric tons per year.

Oregon summit has explored the best practices to manage manure and organic residuals in order to have maximum consumer safety. It is indicated that the integrated farming systems utilizing livestock in proportion to the land's capacity to process manure have ecological and economic benefits.
